A Staple Salad 1.0

Welcome to the Staple Salad Series.

Why Staple Salads? Because = veggies at dinner are a must.

Veggies are full of fiber, vitamins + minerals, and water. They aid in digestion, help our stomachs feel full, and provide us with that good energy we need. 


It's really important we start adding vegetables and other high fiber foods to every meal.

One of the easiest ways to get those mandatory veggies in is by making salads. Salads are a staple.

When I need to make a salad and I’m craving something extra refreshing, I'll make an Authentic Greek Salad. That's right, the one with no lettuce. Just chopped up vegetables and easy DIY dressing.

Now so, when I make this salad, it's not always perfect, and it sometimes is missing an item or two. But - any variation of this salad tastes so good. It never disappoints. I highly recommend it! 

Okay, here's what's in my Authentic Greek Salad today…

Tomatoes

Cucumber

Red Onion

Kalamata Olives

Feta Cheese

Olive oil

S+P

Zaatar

Rosemary



The. Best. Yum.

The directions are quite easy. Step 1 - cut/ chop/ dice all veggies into desired size, add to bowl. Step 2: Add Feta into bowl. Step 3: Drizzle olive oil. Step 4: Add your spices and S+P. 

Please try this salad at home! Its so good, I hope it becomes a staple salad for you one day as well.
